We have a handful of rooms, and we like it that way. Fewer guests means more attention, a quieter atmosphere, and mornings that start with a homemade breakfast prepared with local ingredients and genuine care. Cool off after a long day on the trails in our outdoor pool, set within the garden and open throughout the day. The poolside bar serves cold drinks, fresh juices, and light snacks — the perfect place to do absolutely nothing for an hour.
Arrive tired, leave restored. Our in-house massage treatments are available by appointment and tailored to what your body needs — whether that’s deep tissue relief after a full day of hiking or a gentle relaxation massage to round off your stay.
Start your morning in the open-air yoga pavilion, surrounded by the sounds of the garden. Sessions are available for guests at all levels. Private and group classes can be arranged on request.

We have a small number of rooms — each one different, each one quiet. Stone floors, natural light, a view over the garden or the hills. There's no grand lobby here, no noise from a busy corridor. Just a well-kept room to come back to after a long day on the trails.

BREAKFAST
Breakfast at Vila Serrano is homemade, unhurried, and generous. Fresh fruit, local cheeses, homemade cakes, bread straight from the oven, strong Brazilian coffee — served in the garden when the weather allows, which is most of the time.
It’s the kind of breakfast that sets the tone for a good day. Trekkers appreciate it for the fuel. Everyone else appreciates it as an excuse to sit still for one more hour.

CHAPADA DIAMANTINA
The national park starts more or less where Lençóis ends. Waterfalls, canyon treks, river swimming, cave formations, birds found nowhere else on earth — it's one of the most spectacular landscapes in South America, and surprisingly easy to reach from the town.

Half-day walks to the 5-day Vale do Pati traverse. Trails for every level — from easy waterfall paths to serious multi-day expeditions into remote valleys. The park has more routes than most guides mention.
Cachoeira da Fumaça, Cachoeira do Sossego, the natural slides at Ribeirão do Meio — the region has dozens of swimming holes, each one worth the walk. Some are five minutes from town.
The Marimbus wetlands are a place that catches most people off guard. Canoe through wetlands, spot caiman and kingfishers, and find out why birdwatchers come from four continents to be here.
Quiet dirt roads, almost no traffic, and scenery that changes every few kilometres. Full-day routes take you deep into the countryside on two wheels. Bike hire available in town.
Chapada Diamantina has a serious list — endemic and near-endemic species including the Hyacinth Visorbearer, the Chapada Flycatcher, and the White-winged Cotinga. Bring the binoculars.
Beyond the park: the Vinícola UVVA winery, historic diamond-mining villages, and the great flat summit of Pai Inácio hill. There's more to the region than a single visit can cover.

Vila Serrano is a five-minute walk from the historical centre of Lençóis — close enough to reach the restaurants, trailheads, and main square on foot, far enough that the only sounds from your room are the garden.
Lençóis sits in the heart of Chapada Diamantina, in the state of Bahia, in north-eastern Brazil. The nearest airport at Lencois (LEC) with regular flights from Salvador and Belo Horizonte. Most international travellers fly into Salvador (SSA) and connect from there by shuttle or bus.
